KaiserCommunication was commissioned by the German Environment Agency with the preparation and organisation of the XIVth German-Russian Environment Days in the Kaliningrad Region. The event took place in Kaliningrad from 25th to 26th October 2017. The joint sponsors of the Environment Days were the Russian Ministry for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, the Agency of the Kaliningrad Region for International and Supra-Regional Relations and the German Environment Agency.
The conference has been taking place on an annual basis since 2002 and is a significant feature of the collaboration between the Kaliningrad Region of the Russian Federation and the Federal Republic of Germany.
On the first day of the conference, two seminars were held. They dealt with the following topics, which are currently of general importance and of specific relevance to the region:
- “An ecologically safe and economically efficient waste disposal industry”
- “Nature conservation areas”
The XIVth German-Russian Environment Days were attended by 134 delegates, of whom 15 were from Germany. The delegates included representatives from federal and regional authorities, companies, professional organisations, and academic and social institutions from the Kaliningrad Region.
KaiserCommunication was responsible for designing the seminars and the plenary event, for organisational planning and for producing the final documentation for the conference.
